• Ellen Little grew up in Los Angeles CA and currently lives and works in San Francisco CA. After receiving her BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena CA she moved to New York to work in advertising. There she taught at the School of Visual Arts and worked at Ogily and Mather creating commercials for clients such as American Express and General Foods. After 7 years in New York, Ellen moved to San Francisco and started the graphic design firm Little Design Group. In 2009 she closed Little Design and became a full time visual artist.

    Her work has been exhibited in museums including Napa Valley Museum, Napa CA, University of Iowa Medical Museum, Iowa City IA, Milton Art Museum, Canton MA, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, Novato CA, Pence Gallery, Davis CA and Triton Museum, Santa Clara CA. Her work has also been exhibited in galleries including AIR Gallery, Brooklyn NY, Gray Loft Gallery, Oakland CA and Box Heart Gallery, Pittsburgh PA. Her paintings are in the collections of the University of Iowa, Iowa City IA and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Pittsburgh PA.
